Giveaway Celebration

To celebrate having moved house, having over 400 fans on twitter, having completed building my new website www.sandradieckmann.com and because I haven't done one before and I really want to treat you I'm having a Giveaway celebration here on my blog until the end of the month!

I have been thinking about what you would like and rather than giving away an image that is already known I think you should leave a comment and tell me what you would like me to draw for you! A title, an idea, an animal, you maybe ?!? Your own custom drawing! Unless you really want something you know already of course. The image will be posted to the winner in a nice frame as well!

Additionally I would like to find you a little gift in a charity shop. I'm always in there and love finding special little treasures. Tell me what you love or what you are into. Tell me anything!

The winner will be chosen randomly and there will be a bit for the runner up as well ;D

Now leave your comments and good luck! I'm excited to hear from you!

I love, love, love your work!! I would be happy with anything-- but especially an animal/human (like your girl/tiger)... I love elephants especially, but also birds, fish, horses, rabbits, dogs and cats! Ooooh! And rhinos and hippos.

Lovely giveaway. My favourite animals are sausage dogs and penguins, I'd love me to be one of these. I like charity shopping for old ladybird books and brooches.

Crikey, I have enough trouble figuring out what I want to draw myself, let alone passing ideas to you...

How about... the ghost of a friendly bear hugging a real0life evil bear to stop it from stealing food from some Romany Gypsies?

This is such a wonderful idea, a customized giveaway, YAY!

I would love to have my own cat illustration, or a teapot/coffeepot for in my kitchen. Or maybe even a vintage camera, like my Ricoh...

And when I'm in a thrift shop or at a flea market I always search for nice little treasures in sparkling colours, vintage china (with cute little flowers!) or anything else that would make our home a little more 'groovy'!

Have a lovely day, Sandra! (and stay cool!)

If I were to win this rather excellent giveaway I would be very pleased with myself. I would also be very pleased of the drawing with the title - 'This is un-BEAR-able' - that would be heading my way :)

As far as what I am into goes - I am quite fond of things that are adorable to the point at which they become vomit-inducing.

Yay! Everything looks excellent as always!

If I somehow would win this giveaway I would like a drawing of Nikola Tesla and his electrical penguins. I don't know what that look like but I'm sure you do.

Great idea for a giveaway! Love your work, and the new site is looking great!
I adore ragdoll cats. I love how their name comes from the fact that the original descendants would go limp like a doll when picked up. Such chilled out kitties, and i'd love to get one someday. :)

I think it would be good to see you do something non animal related. Maybe something architectural or scientific. Not because i don't like your animal stuff (its great) but because its good sometimes to make yourself do something different. :)

Guinea fowl on the African plain being chased by a fair haired toddler. But all they do is stare at the child as the sun sets and the shadows lengthen. Could I have flamingoes standing in a lake in the background a sort os cacophany of pink.

AnnaDenise said...

I think I would love you to draw a tree with all kinds of weird birds and animals in it! With little tree houses! Like little camp sites all over the tree. I can totally see it already!

As for shopping, I am totally into pretty ceramics, plastic necklaces and clothes (duh!) :-)

Waaah! I hope I win!!!! <3

I really love the Radiohead song 'Where I end and you begin', there's tonnes of stories that could come from there!

Gerlin said...

Right now I am totally, completely obsessed with the band Beach House. I love their new album Teen Dream but I also love their former album Devotion. On that album there's a song called 'Heart of Chambers' and it's really really beautiful and I think it's an interesting title to make a work of art out of. You can always add some exotic animals too if you like :-)

A lot of stuff from charity shops is good, really. I always seem to find nice, cheap bags there. Or just colourful bits and bobs to cheer up my room - all good.

This is a great idea Sandra!

peacocks, lapwings, cockerels, crested grebes, waxwings......any bird with a bit of a head dress going on, just does me fine .... and as a drawing? well, how double, triple fabulous would that be?

Tor Emms said...

What a very vivid and refreshing and cobweb blowing away idea!

I would give you a random little paragraph in the hope that it would inspire, and see what you come up with...

"Mr Beastly's charming wonky legs and frightful mane put some poeple off even looking, but for those that did, his tender love for complimentary colours and collection of tweed and flowering moments made his character shine above and beyond the material goods of his little content world."

Good luck with the new place and 400 followers and life's pretty aesthetics. Would love to meet Mr Beastly,x
