reconsiderations & redesign "The man who laughs"

After a critique about my previous illustration to "the man who laughs" I decide to try again and experiment further with type and image.
I wanted to make the image more subtle and realized that it was unnecessary to play with a frown or a smile.
I found the contradiction of applying purely the text "who laughs" much stronger.
The piece of paper with the text is applied to the face that lies beneath which relates to the story in which the king carves a permanent laugh on the mans face.
